Navya Disha is dedicated to fostering accessible and affordable skill development through its Academy for Skilling and Entrepreneurship, structured as a Community College. Community colleges play a vital role for individuals who lack the resources or opportunities to pursue traditional university education. Community colleges offer opportunities for students who may not have thrived in high school or are pursuing alternative career paths. With flexible schedules and diverse programs, they cater to both full-time students and working adults, helping them balance education with other responsibilities. The goal is to equip individuals with practical, job-ready skills to boost employability after graduation.
Position Overview: Navya Disha is seeking a dedicated and proactive Community Outreach Coordinator for its Academy for Skilling and Entrepreneurship. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for community engagement and a deep understanding of the importance of outreach programs in empowering individuals. This role involves connecting with local communities, organizing outreach initiatives, and ensuring that individuals in the community are aware of and have access to the academy’s skilling and entrepreneurship programs. The Community Outreach Coordinator will be responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with local organizations, schools, and community groups, while promoting the benefits of the academy’s offerings.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Partnership Building and Community Engagement:
Establish and maintain partnerships with NGOs, educational institutions, government bodies, and local organizations. Identify and map target regions and communities, raising awareness about the academy’s skilling and entrepreneurship programs through community leaders, influencers, and families.
- Candidate Mobilization and Sourcing:
Lead the sourcing and mobilization of candidates in line with the academy’s criteria. Counsel potential candidates and their families, providing them with information and guidance about the training programs, while ensuring quality enrolment. - Program Coordination and Implementation:
Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth execution of training programs, managing logistics, scheduling, and communication. Oversee program delivery in assigned regions, ensuring alignment with the academy’s objectives. - Documentation and Compliance Management:
Ensure the proper collection, verification, and submission of all necessary documents from candidates throughout the sourcing, interview, selection, and enrollment process, maintaining compliance with program standards. - Monitoring, Reporting, and Continuous Improvement:
Monitor the progress of outreach activities, track mobilization efforts, and submit daily activity reports to management. Continuously assess and improve strategies to enhance program participation, ensuring high-quality results and impact.
Qualifications and Work Experience:
- Education qualification: Graduate or Postgraduate
- Work experience: 3-4 years of experience in training on Communication and Life Skills. Prior experience of training young adults from less privileged backgrounds will be preferred.
- Language: Should be able to converse fluently in Kannada and English
