3Zero Club - An Initiative to Create a World of Three Zeros
The 3ZERO Club is an initiative towards achieving the Nobel Peace Laureate Professor Muhammad Yunus’s vision of creating a world of three zeros — zero net carbon emission, zero wealth concentration for ending poverty, and zero unemployment by unleashing entrepreneurship in all. The mission of the 3ZERO Club is to inspire and enable the youth to ideate, create and lead with the entrepreneurial spirit to solve the most pressing social and environmental issues of our time.
The initiative to establish a global network of 3ZERO Clubs aims to acquaint young individuals with the vision of a three-zero world and how they can contribute through their innovative initiatives.
Each Club operates as a self-organized unit comprising five young persons between the age of 12 and 35 years, tasked with self-selected responsibilities toward achieving the three-zero goal. These Clubs independently empower themselves by collaborating with others, sharing common objectives and features. By linking together, these Clubs exponentially increase their collective influence and impact. This interconnected network accelerates the systematic progress toward reaching the shared goal at a faster pace. 3ZERO Club initiative welcomes participation from individuals across the globe, irrespective of their geographical location, socioeconomic background, or residential setting.
Any individual, whether from a poor or affluent background, residing in rural or urban areas, is encouraged to join or establish a Club. This inclusiveness fosters diversity, encourages varied perspectives, and amplifies the potential for collective action toward the three-zero vision on a global scale.
In Mandya, the 3Zero Club program is being implemented through a partnership with Vikasana, while in Belgaum, it’s in collaboration with Spandana. These partnerships signify joint endeavors aimed at fostering the 3Zero Clubs initiative in these regions, highlighting the importance of collective action and shared responsibility in driving positive change. Additionally, in Tumkur, Navya Disha is independently spearheading the implementation of the program.
The registration of these clubs with the 3Zero Global Center in Bangladesh signifies their official acknowledgment and connection to a wider global network. This affiliation allows for enhanced collaboration, shared knowledge, and collective efforts toward achieving the three-zero vision on a global platform.
