Navya Disha, a registered Public Charitable Trust, has been dedicated to empowering underserved rural and urban-poor communities since 2005. We collaborate closely with the communities we serve, gaining deep insights into their needs. Our approach involves executing impactful programs that address core challenges in education, health and hygiene, water and sanitation, women’s empowerment, and climate change.
Based in Bengaluru, our operations have extended across the states of Karnataka, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, and Madhya Pradesh. Navya Disha’s commitment to fostering self-reliance in communities traces its roots to GrameenKoota, established in 1999. Renowned for its outstanding work in micro-credit financing, GrameenKoota has evolved into a substantial institution with over 2 million customers.
Navya Disha emerged as an independent entity to focus specifically on empowerment interventions for these communities. Since our inception in 2005, we have worked in tandem with GrameenKoota, contributing to comprehensive development that emphasizes economic progress and social upliftment in rural India.
Our current focus involves channeling institutional energy into fostering self-employment and entrepreneurship among the youth in Karnataka. Creating a sustainable ecosystem plays a critical role in promoting entrepreneurship; it involves fostering an environment that provides knowledge, skills, resources, mentorship, and networking opportunities.
