Navya Disha is dedicated to fostering accessible and affordable skill development through its Academy for Skilling and Entrepreneurship, structured as a Community College. Community colleges play a vital role for individuals who lack the resources or opportunities to pursue traditional university education. Community colleges offer opportunities for students who may not have thrived in high school or are pursuing alternative career paths. With flexible schedules and diverse programs, they cater to both full-time students and working adults, helping them balance education with other responsibilities. The goal is to equip individuals with practical, job-ready skills to boost employability after graduation.
Position Overview:
Navya Disha is seeking a dynamic and engaging Communication and Life Skills Trainer for its
Academy for Skilling and Entrepreneurship. The ideal candidate will have a passion for
teaching and a strong understanding of essential communication and life skills necessary for
success in both personal and professional environments. This role involves training students
to develop effective communication, problem-solving, decision-making, and interpersonal
skills, while preparing them for real-world employment opportunities. The Communications
and Life Skills Trainer will be responsible for training, mentoring, and coaching students in
English Language/Communication skills and Life Skills.
Roles and responsibilities
The responsibilities of the communications and life skills trainer will be as follows:
- Create course materials and resources.
- Coach students in English communication and life skills
- Offer one-on-one coaching to improve communication and life skills
- Monitor student progress through tests, assignments, and presentations.
- Provide feedback for continuous improvement.
- Guide personal and professional growth
- Tracking of assignment completion and engagement with alumni
- Design innovative methods to increase engagement with alumni
- Help faculty in designing new interventions and refining of curriculum
- Follow up with students and employers regarding their performance in the job
- Career guidance and mentoring to alumni
Qualifications and work experience
Education qualification: Graduate or Post Graduate
Work experience: 4-5 years of experience in training on Communication and Life Skills. Prior
experience of training young adults from less privileged background will be preferred.
Language: Should be able to converse fluently in Kannada and English
